About
I am an educator, collaborator, designer and freelance artist.
I love working with people as co-creators.
Along with 30 years as an art and ceramics teacher,
I have designed and worked with contractors to build a home;
planned and collaborated with students to paint several community murals,
and produced a public art project with a multitude of community members.
In 2011, our team installed a 10 x14' tile mural representing
the flora and fauna of California’s Eastern Sierra region.
My flying heart has delighted in producing art work in living/working spaces around the US.
I continue to create paintings, pastels, ceramics and mosaics at my home studio,
seeking opportunities to work, play and create with friends old and new.

Mission
My art aims to inspire and uplift hearts and spirits; to heal pain and inspire hope. Focusing on color and beauty has been a big part of my healing path. The act of creation, from head and heart through hands brings joy up through the cracks in the broken places, a healing balm for the soul. The joy of waking up, oh so gradually, and learning to fly as I begin to love and accept myself and my journey as a treasure from God. Yoga, meditation, dear family, friends and fellow travelers enrich this fascinating Earth sojourn. They enable my heart to soar into cosmic realms of love, beauty and infinite joy. My work in Flying Heart Studios has always been about healing, as my heart seems to grow wings of joy in the act of creation. It's not always pretty, but it always helps to release what's inside. May this work awaken new perceptions and dimensions within you too.

Vision
My vision is for a healthy green world where humans coexist with animals, plants, soils, waters and atmosphere. Where loving care is the norm; where there is enough food, shelter and safety for everyone in a regenerative economy. Where healing beauty and spiritual light bring forth our divinely human powers and provide energy and inspiration for this earthly journey.
